S4C recently asked me to shoot portraits of 29 cast members on the set of Pobol y Cwm at their studios in Roath Lock in Cardiff. It was a mix of interior and exterior sets, with everything lit with a mix of ambient light, existing production lighting and my own flash heads. The aim was to produce a set of warm, friendly, natural looking images of each character in the show, in their natural environment. We spent 3 days jumping from set to set, lighting as we went - mostly just 2 studio flashes in soft boxes, blended with whatever other lights were available.
